This piece is called 'Pure' and is an original chalk pastel on paper. It measure 18x24 inches and comes unframed.
I was was never drawn to the color white until recently as God began to use it to show me the beauty of being pure. He keeps helping me to remove various things, thoughts, and ways from my life that are not his best, so that I could experience more of his peace and joy. It also helps when we live more purely, to see others more purely. In the background of this image you'll see I wrote some things as the Lord was speaking to me...some bits of what is said is, "To the pure all things are pure. You are a white rose. You are beautiful. Pure. Holy. Spotless. fearless to become fully who you were born to be. Become. Open up fully. Trusting the process when it feels slow. Behold the Lord. Becoming new. You are now fully you. He makes all things beautiful in his time. Open up to love. True love. You are safe to become all you are in Christ."
This piece is also about the process of becoming truly who you were born to be. As I look at flowers, I see how they start so tight and closed up, but as they soak up the sun they bravely open up more and more until they're holding nothing back. They have nothing to hide and they're beautiful unique fragrance is released. I sometimes have felt like remaining tight and close up...too afraid to fully open up around others in a pure genuine way, but watching flowers and creating this art is opening my heart to trust, let go, and to fully be who I am in Christ! Maybe you can relate to this on some level as well....
...and on a last thought is the truth that the only way to receive complete purity is by receiving the forgiveness of all sin through the innocent blood of Jesus Christ who went to the cross for each of us so we could be made pure in him as we trust in his saving grace alone!
