Sustained 🌿 18x36 Original

This painting is called "Sustained" because of the ability of succulent plants to retain water and be sustained in the midst of dry seasons. This makes me think of how when we trust in God he supernaturally sustains us even in the midst of unfavorable environments. We do not need to worry, but simply trust and remain green for we are sustained from the inside out.

It makes me think of these bible verses: "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. He is like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year of drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit."-Jeremiah 17:7-8
