To Be Seen and Known 🌸 24x30 Original

"To Be Seen and Known" is an original acrylic painting on canvas.

I took the photo of this flower while in San Juan Capistrano. There were many beautiful flowers all around and rather than seeing the many, I was led to come in closer to photograph the details of individual flowers and capture their uniqueness.  I wanted to also make something that is naturally small in size become much larger so it can be appreciated even more. This is one of them!

It made me think of how we can sometimes group things together, saying "look at all the flowers" and without slowing down to zoom in and really appreciate the ONE. Sometimes as people we can also feel grouped in with the 'bunch of people' all around and not feel like anyone is stopping to come close and really know us either. At times, we may feel we're just one of many, blending in, and that who we are doesn't matter that much...BUT God tells us that is not the truth of how he sees us and not how we should see each other or ourselves! He tells us that we were each uniquely designed to be his masterpiece and he created each of us with specific purpose and abilities. You are one of a kind and he knows every detail about you in every season! He doesn't miss a moment of your growth! He is right there coming in close to zoom in on your blossoming beauty. When we also see others that way we come in close to really get to know a person and look for the beauty of who God created them to be. When we realize we are not overlooked and but that we are truly "See and Known" we rest in a settled confidence. 

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.-Ephesians 2:10
